Qualities that make a Leader

Do you guys know what are the qualities does a leader should contain? Answer to this question is, There are several qualities that describes the leaders personality such as

  • All these qualities are very essential for a leader if a leader don’t have these qualities then he is not a leader because without these qualities a leader cannot think like a professional leader. For example, without a vision statement leader and his team members are unable to know that what is the purpose and a leader cannot recognize what must to do? and what does it?
  • Negative behaviors of leaders directly effects the workers or the team members it acts like toxic for the team members which can destroy their whole organization.

DERAILED LEADERS: Derailed leaders are those leaders who are smart and ambitious and have good technical skills to achieve there goals. Leadership derailment can be especially costly to an organization in terms of both financial and people costs. When a leader derails, the organization bears the expense of the lost developmental investment in that leader, as well as the costs associated with the individual failing in a position. These costs are coupled with the implications on employee engagement and motivation. Derailment can be emotionally devastating to the individual and have a long lasting impact on the individual’s team and colleagues.

INTERPERSONAL TRUST SCALE: Do know what this scale do? This scale shows that how much a person have trust on each others, the result is shown in the graph below:

As in this graph it shows that the high score shows the more trust and susceptibility to suggestions and low score shows the less trust and tendency to manipulate.

WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANCE OF TRUST?

Trust means having a believe on someone that he or she honest and a good person we can share our thoughts and ideas with that person. To explain this further there are two principles in leadership that explains the importance of trust in detail are:

Stuart Levine and Michael Crom’s principles they both explains that we should do our deals openly with everyone , give responsibilities to everybody and keep promises, moreover we should considers everyone’s point of view so that everyone can get a chance to speak. at last but not least we should care about people that what they think.

EVERY LEADER HAVE DIFFERENT KIND OF INTELLIGENCE here are the two types available

  1. Crystallized intelligence:

•Represents one’s lifetime of intellectual attainments, as shown by vocabulary, accumulated facts about the world, and ability to solve problems within one’s area of expertise

•Includes comprehension of information and the ability to communicate in oral and written forms

2.Fluid intelligence:

•Involves mental flexibility, as shown by the ability to process information rapidly, as in solving problems in new areas of endeavor

•Includes reasoning, creative thinking, and memory

THERE ARE THREE STYLES TO LEAD:

From the above three styles, DIRECTIVE STYLE is only followed by the leaders on the other hand PARTICIPATIVE STYLE is followed by the leaders and followers both but the FREE-REIN STYLE is only followed by the followers.

An Effective leader must be:

•Director and motivator

•Implementer and innovator

•Mentor and team builder

•Expert and moral force

•Organizer and developer of people
